Free Tax Help Resources Still Available

The Piton Foundation considers tax credits for working families, especially the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), to be important tools for increasing the financial security of Colorado families.

For more than 25 years, Piton has conducted the Tax Credits for Working Families Public Information Campaign to help increase the number of eligible families receiving the EITC, the Child Tax Credit and other valuable credits that help families make ends meet.

The following resources are available to help educate families about their potential eligibility for the EITC. If you would like to order free, printed copies of these materials in any quantity, please contact Kindle Morell.

  • EITC Informational Flier in English and Spanish - Describes the EITC and how to access free tax help, as well as what to bring to a tax appointment.

  • Get Your Taxes Done for Free Poster (11x17) in English and Spanish - Promotes free tax help for families with incomes under $54,000.

  • ITIN Flier in English and Spanish - A new IRS law requires ITIN renewal, starting for some taxpayers this month. The flier includes information on who needs to renew, tax implications, and the renewal process. Also download a toolkit that includes web, newsletter and social media copy in English and Spanish.

  • Resource Flier - Describes the EITC and shares other resources for low-income families, including Tax Help Colorado site locations and information about Health First Colorado and Hunger Free.
